Privacy Policy – HOWFAST

App: HOWFAST

Effective date: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the HOWFAST mobile application (“the App”) handles information. The App is designed to measure speed, distance, acceleration, route, altitude and similar movement or performance-related data using your Android device.

In plain English:
HOWFAST uses location data and device sensors to calculate measurement results inside the App. The developer does not run a custom backend for ordinary app use and does not sell your data. Most measurement results, settings and history are intended to stay on your device. If you use premium features, purchases, subscriptions or free trials, purchase-related data may be processed by Google Play and RevenueCat.

1. Data Controller

The controller of personal data processed in connection with the App is:

NIEWYEZT Developer

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App may store certain information locally on your device, such as:

This locally stored information is generally not transmitted to the developer’s own servers. You can remove locally stored data by using available in-app delete/clean options, clearing the App’s data in Android settings, or uninstalling the App.

3. Location Data

The App may request access to your device’s location in order to calculate speed, distance, route, altitude, movement, travel path and related measurement results. Depending on the feature, the App may require location access while the App is in use.

Location access is used to provide the App’s core functionality. If you deny location permission, speed, route, distance or performance measurements may be unavailable or limited.

The developer does not use a custom backend to store your location data from ordinary use of the App. Location data used for measurements is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share or export it using Android or other apps installed on your device.

4. Device Sensors

The App may use device sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, orientation sensors or similar Android sensor data to support measurement features, improve detection of movement, acceleration or braking, and provide performance-related results.

Sensor data is used for App functionality and is generally processed locally on your device.

5. Measurement History, Export and Sharing

The App may allow you to save, view, delete, export or share measurement results, history records, route snapshots, screenshots or similar app-generated content.

When you choose to share or export data, the information is passed to the app or service selected by you through the Android sharing mechanism or another export method. The developer is not responsible for how third-party apps selected by you process shared content.

6. Purchases, Trials and Subscriptions

HOWFAST may offer premium features through free trials, subscriptions or in-app purchases. If you use paid features, purchase-related information may be processed by third-party providers, including Google Play and RevenueCat.

This may include, for example:

Payment card details and payment transaction handling are processed directly by Google Play or its payment partners, not by the developer through the App. The developer does not directly process payment card details.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party service providers to enable certain features. In particular:

Third-party providers process data according to their own privacy policies and legal terms:

8. Advertising

The App does not sell your personal data. The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs unless explicitly stated in a later version of this Privacy Policy.

9. Data Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent or trade user data. Information may be processed by third-party providers only to the extent needed to operate app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, entitlement validation, purchase restoration, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance and related technical functions.

Data may also be shared if required by law, court order, public authority request, or to protect legal rights and defend against claims.

10. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable, personal data is processed on one or more of the following legal bases:

11. Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, clear the App’s data, use available in-app deletion options or uninstall the App, subject to Android system behavior.

Data processed by third-party providers such as Google Play and RevenueCat is retained according to their own policies and as required for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, legal compliance and technical operations.

12. Safety and Responsible Use

HOWFAST is an informational and assistive application. It does not replace approved or legally required instruments such as a vehicle speedometer, tachograph, aircraft instrument, navigation device or any certified measurement equipment.

Do not operate the App in a way that distracts you while driving, riding, flying, moving or operating machinery. Always follow traffic laws, safety rules and applicable regulations.

Measurement data may be inaccurate due to GPS limitations, poor signal, device sensor errors, device placement, environmental conditions, Android system behavior or other technical limitations. The App should not be used as the sole basis for safety-critical, legal, commercial, racing or compliance decisions.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intentionally directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. The developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children through a custom backend. If you believe that personal data relating to a child has been processed improperly, please contact the developer.

14. Your Rights and Requests

If you have questions about privacy, data handling or deletion-related requests, you may contact the developer at:

niewyezt@gmail.com

Where applicable under data protection law, you may have the right to request access to personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability.

If a request concerns data processed directly by third-party providers such as Google Play or RevenueCat, the developer may direct you to the appropriate provider or handle the request to the extent reasonably possible.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, including the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Poland.

15. Open-Source and Third-Party Components

The App may include third-party software, libraries, fonts or open-source components. Their license terms may be shown inside the App or in accompanying notices. This Privacy Policy does not modify third-party open-source license terms.
